I leave the fps at 30 bc honestly I’m not sure what frame rate the quest 2 can consistently cast at. Next up click on the video tab on the left and set up your canvas to what your computer can do I’m going to go 1080 here for the canvas and output. For encoder settings if you have a dedicated graphics card you’ll have more options here but I’m in the mac world so I just go with software encoding. It’s just an easier file type to work with when editing later. Next I like to make it easy for myself and choose mp4 for my recording format. If you have the space go for the gold if you’d like. Now for the recording settings, I have a good bit of hard drive space but I like to go in the mid range here with the indistinguishable setting. In this video I’m going to focus on recording but for those of you who want to stream, if you have a good enough upload speed you can bump the bitrate up to 5 - 70p and if you are on the slower end go with 2500 - 5k and later we will make the output 720p Go down to settings in the main screen on the lower right and from here we can keep it simple. Go up top to profile then new and name it whatever I’ll go with Quest Tube Baby. Starting fresh with a new OBS scene we shall prepare your settings. Oh and make sure your computer and quest are on the same wifi. All you need is your quest 2 a decent internet connection and of course OBS on your computer. Well fellow quester It’s time to make your dreams come true!įor this setup you won’t need an expensive capture card, oculus link, virtual desktop or even a mic. You have a quest 2, a computer, the almighty obs and you want to record or stream yourself and your quest 2 gameplay wirelessly without a capture card.
